CYBERSPACE—This Sunday evening, "online drive-in" The Black Hole Monoplex will host a free virtual screening of AVN Senior Editor Peter Warren's autobiographical documentary Jews at Sea, followed by a Q&A with Warren and AVN Hall of Famer Joanna Angel.
Shot in the early years of his career as an adult critic, Jews at Sea chronicles Warren's frantic attempts to hide his newfound profession from his loving, eccentric family while trapped on a cruise ship.
"For those who've been curious about seeing Jews at Sea, here's your chance—and maybe you'll get a little extra insight about my baby days with AVN during the Q&A," Warren said. "I want to thank Black Hole Monoplex for inviting me to do this screening, and Joanna for agreeing to join me; as a fellow Jew who got into the industry around the same time as me, I thought she might have some particularly pertinent thoughts to share on the experience. Plus, she's one of the most entertaining people I know and I like her a lot. Should be fun."
The Black Hole Monoplex is a free, live, not-for-profit virtual cinema launched during the coronavirus pandemic to support filmmakers and cash-strapped audiences.
Sunday night's screening of Jews at Sea begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. To watch, go to blackholemonoplex.com.
