LOS ANGELES—AZ Pornstar is rebranding and will now go by Ari Porter as he expands into mainstream content creation, while maintaining the quality and Arizona-based identity that have earned him multiple AVN, ASN, and other industry award nominations.
"The transition to Ari Porter represents both a grateful evolution of a successful independent career and a calculated business expansion designed to circumvent platform restrictions that have historically limited growth," Porter said in his announcement, adding that AZ Pornstar will continue as a tagline to his previous content, while the rebranding will be phased in to his content moving forward.
The new moniker maintains critical brand continuity while solving accessibility challenges that have plagued the creator’s social media expansion efforts, Porter explained. By preserving the “AZP” initials that fans have used for years, Porter plans to honor the original brand’s legacy while creating a professional identity that won’t trigger immediate shadowbanning on mainstream platforms. As part of the rebranding, AZPornstar.com has been changed to AriPorter.com.
“Ari represents my first name, while Zona serves as a tongue-in-cheek middle name nod to my Arizona roots," he said. "Beyond the personal significance, the name was strategically selected for platform availability and searchability—a crucial consideration for independent creators navigating today’s content landscape.”
The rebrand comes at a pivotal moment in Porter's career, as he cites increased studio interest following multiple industry nominations, which have open doors for broader content creation opportunities. He explained that the “Pornstar” designation in the previous name, "while accurate and beloved by fans, created immediate barriers on SFW social media platforms essential for modern content marketing and fan engagement."
He added: “Having ‘Pornstar’ in your name gets you almost immediately shadowbanned. This transition isn’t about leaving my roots behind—it’s about accessibility. The Arizona Pornstar identity isn’t disappearing; it’s evolving into something that can exist across all platforms, both adult and mainstream.”
Despite the name change, Porter said fans can expect the same energy, professional production values, and creative passion that defined the AZ Pornstar brand in all his future content. Current branding will maintain visual similarities to ensure seamless recognition, with existing headshots bridging the gap between identities to prevent fan confusion during the phase-in period.
Some of Porter's first scenes under his new name will be with Grooby Productions. Under the rebranding, all existing content under the AZ Pornstar label will remain available, with both names operating simultaneously during the transition period.
