SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Cannabis and sexuality educator Ashley Manta has started a weekly “life of the CannaSexual” blog column for DOPE Magazine online.
The column, which launched Sept. 14, reflects Manta's life in the study of cannabis, sexuality and intersection of both, and her practical applications.
"I was delighted when DOPE approached me to write a weekly blog about my adventures," Manta said. "Sharing stories about my sex life, relationships, and my 'CannaSexual' adventures feels like a stellar opportunity to connect in a real and relatable way with DOPE’s dedicated readership. By sharing my experiences, I hope to be a beacon of permission — starting conversations about subjects that have traditionally been considered taboo."
She added, “I hope to soften the restrictive boundaries and limiting beliefs holding people back from being their best selves.”
Abigail Ross, DOPE's content director commented, “I pursued Ashley Manta because of her ability to be raw and transparent on the topic of sex and cannabis. She is educating the cannabis industry in a way no one else is and her energy is contagious."
The publishers said Manta's early columns touched on the practical how-to's of staging a sexual play party and details of settling into her new apartment with accommodations for her cannabis supplies, her hoard of sex toys (in an over-the-door shoe rack) and intimate encounters with two regular lovers. Planned future topics include her first road trip with a lover, attending a puja ceremony, and favorite moments from her conversations with both adult and cannabis industry friends.
Manta's blog posts each Wednesday. She also maintains her own website, where she offers insights to cannabis and sexuality information from herself and others. Manta can also be contacted for speaking and teaching engagements through her website.
