LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is on hand at the Latin America Adult Business Expo (LALExpo) at the Pacific Valley Event Center in Cali, Colombia.
Now in its 30th year, ASACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting online child safety by proactively helping parents and businesses protect children from online harms.
LALExpo is a B2B trade event for Central and South American digital media companies and service providers. The event attracts a growing international and Latin American audience of business professionals representing all aspects of the online business world, including models and studios, for a comprehensive experience that combines education, networking and exposure to the latest industry trends.
LALExpo brings together key industry players in a professional, collaborative environment to address the latest digital marketing techniques and technologies, as well as the newest legal regulations. It features inspirational conferences, practical workshops and exclusive networking opportunities to connect professionals and create collaboration opportunities and strategic alliances.
The event’s promoters strive to elevate the professionalism of the industry and its participants while educating the public, lawmakers and other stakeholders about the economic opportunity this lawful business provides.
Anthony Rivera, an organizer of the event and co-founder of AJ Studios, said LALExpo provides a significant opportunity for ASACP to reach professional businesses operating in the Latin American and Spanish-speaking markets.
Rivera stated, "As a hub of the global camming community, Colombia is also making inroads into the broader digital media market. As such, LALExpo promotes business excellence and responsibility among the companies making a living and supporting their families and themselves through technology. This is why we support ASACP and its mission to educate and professionalize the industry to protect children."
In addition to promotion on the LALExpo website as well as in the show’s social media and on industry forums, in the official show guide, through a complimentary table at the event’s Meet Market, and more, allowing the association to reach out to adult business owners and operators face-to-face, LALExpo’s promoters have underwritten ASACP executive director Tim Henning’s airfare to and from the venue city of Cali, admission to the event, and accommodations while there. His travel expenses were underwritten by DialXS, providing much-needed support for the association’s international outreach efforts.
Henning said, "ASACP is pleased to support LALExpo. The event and the event’s promoters play a leading role in the fight against child exploitation by helping educate operators about the need for legal compliance and the maintenance of industry protocols and safety standards to help avoid minors’ abuse and guarantee the rights of children and adolescents.
"LALExpo promotes awareness of child safety and doing business at the highest levels of safe and responsible operation throughout Latin America and beyond," he continued. "One of ASACP’s valued Sponsors, LALExpo, and its promoters take their child safety advocacy seriously and serve as an example for their peers to follow."
Henning said that this outreach is vital in LATAM, where the live cam industry is a significant driver of opportunity and prosperity for independent performers and companies of all sizes—and where fans and the performers who entertain them must be of legal age to participate.
Henning added, "LALExpo’s continued support of the association sends a compelling message and helps establish its promoters among the upper echelon of industry leaders. Through LALExpo’s generosity, ASACP can reach a much broader audience of frontline operators, providing them with the education and valuable free resources they need to help keep children out of and away from adult-oriented content."
Among ASACP’s key accomplishments are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, designed to block children from adult web pages and apps, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has handled 1.3 million reports since its launch.
