ASACP Returns to AVN Expo With Online Safety Message

LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has returned to Las Vegas for the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE), running through Saturday, Jan. 24, at Virgin Hotels.

The expo is the largest event of its kind, bringing together all sectors of the adult industry under one roof, featuring exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations, along with insightful seminars and workshops led by industry experts.

ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, is representing the association at the event where he will meet with reps of digital media companies, independent content creators, and other industry members.

“The AVN Expo offers ASACP a unique opportunity to reach out to businesses and individuals at all levels of the industry, from well-established operators to recently founded players,” Henning explained. “As the market continues to evolve and attract a new generation of creators, it’s vital for the association to engage with these entrepreneurs to share our perspective on the methods and the need to protect children from online harm and exposure to age-inappropriate materials.”

While at the event, Henning served as a panelist at “The State of Age Verification: Compliance and Vigilance,” which took place Wednesday.

The event’s promoters have provided ASACP with a table at the Meet Market and sponsor-level banner placement. In addition, they have issued Henning with complimentary expo admission.

“It’s important for the industry to stand together on issues like preventing children from seeing age-restricted online content,” an event rep said. “By helping ASACP have a presence at our events, we make it easier for the association to reach the decision-makers who can best influence children’s online safety.”

“We hope that all AVN Expo attendees will take a moment to meet with Tim and learn how they can help,” the rep added.

ASACP’s Exclusive Travel Sponsor, DialXS, has covered Henning’s airfare and travel expenses, enabling the association to attend the event.

“AVN Expo has greatly supported our association, and we sincerely value it,” Henning said. “Without the generous support from our sponsors, especially DialXS’ support for travel expenses, we wouldn’t be able to connect with the key decision-makers we meet with at AVN and sustain ASACP’s continued success.”

These successes include free child protection resources, such as market-specific Best Practices and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for age-restricted content publishers and promoters. They also include the RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-label system, other parental resources, and the CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1.6 million tips to date.
