Ameena Green Co-Hosts Media Panel at Dream Con 2025

HOUSTON—Ameena Green attended the Dream Convention (Dream Con) in Houston, Texas, held from May 30 to June 1, and co-hosted a panel on diversity and representation in media.

Other panelists alongside Green were Hilton G. George (founder and CEO of Blerdcon), TJ Sterling (CEO of RAE Comics), and Kyle Dargan (American University professor and books editor for Janelle Monáe’s Wondaland Arts Society).

They discussed the importance of inclusivity in the entertainment industry, underscoring Green’s ongoing advocacy for equitable representation. Additionally, she engaged in a Q&A session, sharing valuable advice with aspiring creatives looking to build and elevate their brands.

A woman of color with a unique cultural background, Green describes herself as "Blasian." When asked about having Green onboard to speak at conventions, her representative stated, "Ameena is ready for anything, and Dream Con is a terrific case in point. At that show, she wasn’t even billed as a feature. However, the lines for fans to meet her were some of the longest on the floor. And when it came time to deliver as a panelist, Ameena enjoyed every minute of the experience. We would love to have her invited to more events."

Reflecting on her experience at Dream Con, Green shared, "I’m extremely happy I attended Dream Con this year. I met so many amazing people, hung out with my favorite peeps, and I’m thrilled to see I have such a huge fan base that’s just as nerdy as me. Anime fans are some of the most open and creative people out there. This culture resonates with me in ways that are hard to explain—I just feel at home here."

She also gave a special shoutout to Malik Daniels for helping her document the experience through vlogs.

Green also launched a publication, A3 Magajin, in December 2024, to showcase her interests in pop culture and passion for cosplay.
