FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Popular digital payment processor Segpay has announced its launch of "Single Use Promotions," allowing merchants to run a promotional offer to first-time consumers without worrying about repeat purchases. The solution will make its debut at three major European trade shows this month, including Webmaster Access in Amsterdam Sept. 7-10 and The European Summit in Prague, Sept. 14-17. Segpay is a gold sponsor at each event.
“This is a very interesting time for the industry to gather in Europe for the annual show circuit, given the challenges of wrapping up compliance with GDPR and age-verification laws, and the continued explosion in cam sites, reshaping the adult space,” said Cathy Beardsley, CEO of Segpay. “Single Use Promos are another initiative that came out of Segpay’s collaboration with merchants on ways to stimulate memberships while mitigating risk.”
Segpay’s leadership team will take center stage at the annual late summer industry trade shows. Beardsley will be a featured speaker in Amsterdam at the billing seminar, Sunday Sept. 9 at 2 p.m, to discuss the challenges, opportunities and outlook for the adult industry.
The leadership team will also be discussing the new European Compliance regulations. Segpay recently received reauthorization as a Payment Institution (PI) in the United Kingdom. Under Passporting rules, the PI license puts Segpay in compliance with the EU’s updated Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PSD2), meaning the company meets the enhanced guidelines for protecting client payment and account data and can continue providing payments services in the U.K. and the EU. Segpay is the only U.S.-owned high-risk processor certified as compliant with the new EU directive.
