Peepdex Launches Community-Built Adult Video Index
CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Peepdex.com has opened free public registration for its community-built adult video index, using a reputation-and-voting model.
Instead of searching video titles by keyword, Peepdex searches structured tags—performers, physical attributes, and acts—contributed by the community and validated through one person, one vote. Viewers combine filters to find specific scenes directly, rather than scrolling through a tube site's related videos and hoping for a match.
The mechanics will be familiar to anyone who has used a moderated Q&A site: users submit links to videos hosted anywhere on the web, an automated pipeline extracts each video's metadata, and the community tags what the video actually contains.
Peepdex launches with more than 23,000 indexed videos, growing through user submissions and partner catalog feeds.
A site-wide audience mode—derived from the same tag data—lets visitors browse the entire site in straight, gay, or trans mode.
"Search on most adult sites means typing words into a title field and hoping," said the site's founder. "We built the search we wanted to use: describe the performer, the acts, and the attributes you're looking for, and get exactly that. The community supplies the judgment that metadata pipelines can't."
Because indexed videos remain on their original host sites, every Peepdex result links out to the source—the platform organizes discovery and sends its traffic onward to the sites that host the content. Registration is free at peepdex.com. Visitors can browse and search without an account.
