CYBERSPACE—Launched last year, Forno is a new platform that allows adult content owners, publishers and brands to distribute, promote and monetize their branded content across multiple Smart TV platforms. Until today, people who wanted to register for Forno had to use a credit card as proof of age. Now, thanks to improvements made in their registration processes, users have the option to register for Forno with a debit card. They have to provide some more information to get through the strict age verification process, but the credit card barrier has been removed.
"We're delighted to be able to make registration easier for our global customers,” said Forno in an announcement issued Thursday. “We have received many emails about debit card registration, so we're delighted to make this a reality.
At the moment debit card registration is only available via the Forno website, but the company said it is looking to extend the service directly to the television in the near future.
