STOCKTON, Calif. -- DatingGold has hired nine-year adult industry veteran Danielle “Twinkley” Waid as the company’s new media buyer.
Waid brings a wide expertise of advertising sales and media buying experience to DatingGold, acting most recently as key account director for Traffic Dude, handling direct response traffic sales, client account management and optimization for a variety of sites. She also worked for YNOT for seven years, performing advertising sales.
"I knew that DatingGold was a great company from my experience of working with them in the past," Waid said. "I felt like not only was I joining a company with a fantastic reputation that produces amazing results, but also a company that has grown so much since I started working with them years ago, and I wanted to be a part of that."
Waid will oversee areas including direct traffic purchasing, campaign optimization, search engine management, increasing traffic, maintaining an ad budget and providing exposure for all the DatingGold program sites: DateMatch, AmateurMatch and WebCamClub.
According to AK, DatingGold’s vice president of sales and marketing, bringing Waid onto his team was a stroke of luck and perfect timing. He said the position had recently opened, Waid was available and he knew she’d be a great fit for his team from working with her personally.
"She will be a tremendous help in the media buying department," AK said.
"The combination of her vast knowledge, extensive experience in the industry and her approachable business outlook will definitely help us expand our business relations with affiliates, advertisers and publishers."
Waid said her experience on the selling side mixed with her ventures of media buying on her own drew her to the open position at DatingGold. She said she is excited at the prospect of keeping in touch with her contacts and working as a full-time buyer.
"I have the experience of being on the selling side and have the experience of selling to buyers," she said. "I feel like I can use this to my advantage in this position, as well as grow traffic, sales and the ad budget. I’d love to be so busy that I literally have to say to CEO Allan Henning, ‘Hire some more buyers. I need some sleep.’"
