BSky Verified Generates Interest After TechCrunch Article

LOS ANGELES—Following the launch announcement of BSky Verified, a user verification provider for Bluesky, the company reported interest from individuals and organizations seeking access to a bskyverified.social handle.

Founder Matt Slayer said, "The day after BSky Verified announced its launch, Bluesky CEO Jay Graber stated in a TechCrunch article that third party verification represents a key method by which Bluesky users would get verified."

Slayer added, "Finding out from BSky Verified applicants via the company’s due diligence interviews that our model of 'authenticity' line up with the desires of a great many Bluesky users, who had been following developments, and that a bunch had already read the TechCrunch article, as well. I’m pleased to report that there has been a tsunami of notable applicants from all walks of life, as well as many many non-notables that did not meet our eligibility requirements, which is par for the course when one offers, essentially, a luxury brand."
