Bsky Verified Donates Bluesky Verification to PASS

LOS ANGELES—BSky Verified, a verification provider for Bluesky, announced that it has furnished a bskyverified.social handle to adult industry testing oversight organization, Performer Availability Screening Service (PASS).

Bluesky is "a decentralized social app that places more control in the hands of users, allowing them to develop their own customized algorithm and providing robust blocking options. However, at a time when many follower counts are still low on the growing platform, it can be difficult to determine whether one is actually interacting with the person or entity they claim to be," a company representative said.

BSky Verified co-founder Matt Slayer said, "By verifying PASS, we hope to add clarification for performers and others seeking information and resources, so that they can know it’s coming from an authentic source."

Slayer added, "Last month we were proud to co-sponsor the PASS Adult Industry Awards Season Benefit Party, hosted by Faire, to raise funds for this crucial non-profit organization. Promoting safety via shared resources and education is perfectly in line with our own goals, and because we support their important mission, we are glad to help them in any way we can."

PASS executive director Ian O’Brien said, "PASS is grateful to Matt and Andrew at BSky Verified for their generosity in donating their verification services.  Navigating a new social media platform can be challenging for a small organization but they’ve made the process as simple as possible, we likely would not have done this without them."
