LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is headed to Romania for the Bucharest Summit.
The event, positioned as “a memorable experience” for marketers, service providers, affiliates, performers and business professionals, will be held June 2-4 at Bucharest’s Radisson Blu Hotel.
“Targeting traffic networks, software companies, content producers, cam platforms, studios and more, the Bucharest Summit prides itself on being the central hub of business conferences in Romania, because Bucharest is one of the industry’s leading hotspots in Europe today,” an event representative said.
The Bucharest Summit brings together the adult entertainment industry, as well as mainstream products, billing and service providers, suppliers, marketers, affiliates and web admins, covering all business areas.
“Business is all about connections, whether you are a performer, a marketer, a salesperson or a CEO,” the rep added. “During our first five editions (2017-2021), Bucharest Summit established its identity as ‘The Business Summit,’ a platform for experienced speakers to share knowledge, allowing its participants to expand their potential, improve their knowledge and enjoy great networking.”
The event features seminars, workshops, parties and special sessions, with the Bucharest Summit Awards Gala serving as the highlight of the conference.
ASACP’s executive director Tim Henning and fundraising director Michelle Marriott will attend the event.
While there, they "will build and renew relationships with industry stakeholders and spread the association’s mission to keep children away from age-inappropriate content and adult-oriented entertainment,” Henning said.
“The Bucharest Summit presents a unique opportunity for the association to reach a broad audience of professionals we might not engage with elsewhere,” he added. “With a growing global emphasis on user age-assurance and other hot-button issues to explore and share the latest developments on, ASACP must extend its voice in these matters, and attending the Bucharest Summit is an excellent venue for us to do so.”
ASACP is a sponsor-supported nonprofit organization dedicated for the past 30 years to promoting online child safety. The association proactively protects children from online harm by fostering corporate responsibility and ethical business practices.
ASACP receives financial and material support from leading media companies, organizations and private individuals. The organization provides complimentary tools, such as child protection resources for parents; Best Practices tailored to specific adult market segments; and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for all age-restricted website and mobile app publishers.
Among ASACP’s notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which prevents children from accessing adult-oriented web pages and apps, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed more than 1.3 million reports since its inception and is a vital global resource.
The promoters of the Bucharest Summit will grant Henning and Marriott free VIP admission to the event. At the same time, ASACP’s exclusive travel sponsor, DialXS, will underwrite their visit, covering airfare, hotel and travel expenses.
“I can’t thank the association’s sponsors and members enough for their continued, generous guidance and support,” Henning concluded. “They not only enable ASACP’s worldwide outreach, but they also make the digital world safer for society’s most vulnerable members—and for this, we are truly grateful.”
