Swiss Marketplace Weared Opens to International Buyers
SWITZERLAND—Weared, a Swiss adults-only marketplace where real sellers offer worn underwear and socks, has opened sales to international buyers.
The platform now supports 10 languages: German, French, Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Russian.
The rules are public:
- Verified identity. Unlimited sellers undergo a one-time identity check. Weared receives only the result; buyers only see an “Identity verified" badge. No AI-generated profiles.
- Pseudonyms. Photos are members only. Packages and bank statements reveal no purchase details.
- 18+ buyers. Buyers self confirm their age. Payments use card, Apple Pay or Google Pay via Stripe, or bitcoin over Lightning.
- Zero tolerance for trafficking. Coercion, pimping, and minors are prohibited. Suspicious third-party or coordinated accounts receive priority review, with serious cases referred to Swiss authorities.
- Ongoing moderation. Listings are reviewed after publication, and members can report listings, profiles and messages.
Shipments abroad are always tracked and sent within 72 hours. Postage is shown before payment. The customs declaration reads "Second-hand clothing"; any duties are paid by the buyer.
The Weared guarantee applies only to Switzerland, France, and shipments between the two countries. No physical shipments go to countries under Swiss sanctions, to countries that ban imports of used clothing, or, for now, to the United States.
Selling worn underwear between consenting adults is legal in Switzerland.
