LUXEMBOURG—Dr. Britta Kühlmann and pjur highlighted the pleasure-product company's range at the SEX NOW exhibition at NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf, including an open dialogue on sexuality, (peri-)menopause, and intimacy.
The focus was on a topic that affects many people but is still rarely discussed openly or in a nuanced way: desire and sexual well-being during a period of physical and emotional change—the (peri-)menopause.
The event addressed key questions around body perception and intimacy, opening new perspectives on sexuality. Held as part of the SEX NOW exhibition—which explores contemporary perspectives on sexuality, body image, and social norms—it created a framework for open and reflective exchange.
"Sexual well-being is an essential component of quality of life at every stage of life," said Jennifer Parry, brand director at pjur.
"Especially around (peri-)menopause, there is a need for more education, more openness, and spaces for honest exchange," Parry added. "It was even more impressive to see how openly participants discussed, shared personal experiences, and truly engaged with the topic."
As part of the exhibition, the "In Bed With...," talk series created space for open and contemporary conversations about sexuality.
Across four events, diverse perspectives came together to explore sexual well-being, societal change, and new forms of education.
The series concluded with an event featuring participation from pjur, moderated by journalist and artist Auri Sattelmair.
