2 Equity Tuition Spots Open for EDSE Spring Sex Ed Certification

PORTLAND, Ore.—Everyone Deserves Sex Ed (EDSE) has announced there are two Equity tuition levels still open for the Spring 2026 Sex Educator Certification. The discounted tuition is offered to independent sexual wellness professionals who want to transform their careers with an accredited certification and need financial support to make it happen.

Applications close February 20, and classes start starts February 28.

EDSE’s Sex Educator Certification provides adult industry professionals with the most inclusive and up-to-date sexuality information, teaching skills and customer service tools available, and has trained staff at some of the biggest companies in the business—including Lovehoney Group, Lion’s Den, East Coast News, Fun Factory and more.

“Knowledge is power, and EDSE offers adult industry professionals the modern tools and knowledge they need to confidently do their jobs—and stay competitive,” EDSE founder Anne Hodder-Shipp said. “This certification also gives adult companies and brands a way to stand out and differentiate themselves while making a positive impact. This is the future of the adult industry, and EDSE helps companies and their staff stay ahead of the curve.”

The EDSE program takes place 100 percent live online and can be attended from anywhere with an internet connection. Attendees will learn from 11 top experts in the field, including Luna Matatas, Goody Howard, Sarah Tomchesson, N. Jasmine Johnson and Hodder-Shipp.

This certification enables attendees “to develop a more expansive, accurate and culturally aware perspective of fundamental topics, including gender and sexual identity development; kink, BDSM and sexual expression; affirmative consent and sexual communication; body image, disability and ableism; safer sex and harm reduction; how to answer customer questions effectively; and so much more,” a description reads.

“This was the best training I have ever received in my life,” a Fall 2025 graduate shared. “Anne and the guest facilitators planted so many seeds that I cannot wait to see flourish in my own journey. I learned so much and have already started changing what I do when I facilitate and the language I use.”

“I really enjoyed this, and appreciate EDSE’s style of sharing knowledge,” another Fall 2025 graduate said. “It was confidence building and avoided gate-keeping behaviors.”

“Anne is a phenomenal role model for facilitating an inclusive and comprehensive program while respecting oneself and others,” another Fall 2025 graduate added. “She covered heavy topics with truth and made sure to make space for the emotions learning and unlearning can bring up. I will forever cherish the time I spent with the cohort.”

The Spring 2026 program takes place every other week for a total of 13 training days and 60 training hours with 60 AASECT CEs included. The training dates are Feb. 28-March 1, March 13-15, March 27-29, April 10-12 and April 25-26.

With almost 20 years of experience working within the adult industry and 11 years as a sex educator, Hodder-Shipp developed the EDSE Sex Educator Certification to help fellow professionals have more informed, inclusive and confident conversations about sex with their colleagues, customers and clients.
