LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is proud to welcome Needemand’s BorderAge as its first corporate sponsor of 2026.
Needemand’s BorderAge offers a fresh, privacy-focused approach to age assurance, providing technology that helps online services block access to age-restricted content while minimizing reliance verification methods.
“Needemand is proud to become an ASACP sponsor, as protecting children online is a societal issue that will continue to gain momentum in 2026,” said Jean-Michel Polit, Needemand’s Chief Business Officer. “Age verification will become a mandate in an increasing number of regions.”
“BorderAge has been successfully tested by the Australian government and has been rolled out in over 100 countries,” Polit concluded. “It provides ASACP members with an opportunity to comply with regulatory requirements, while optimizing customer satisfaction and retention.”
For its part, the association welcomes BorderAge to its family of respected industry leaders known for their significant contributions to corporate responsibility, ethical business practices, and for implementing measures that improve child safety.
“With the global regulatory landscape constantly changing, companies like BorderAge are at the forefront of safeguarding minors and shielding vulnerable users from exposure to age-restricted content online,” ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, explained.
“Given the numerous and significant changes happening, it is essential that an informed and united industry takes the lead. Here, BorderAge is demonstrating this leadership as we move into the new year.”
ASACP uses the support it receives to champion child safety and promote the rights of consenting adults by encouraging practical age assurance, parental education, and stakeholder responsibility.
These efforts include providing a free set of child protection resources for parents, Best Practices tailored to specific market segments, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for all website and mobile app publishers.
Among ASACP’s most notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which prevents children from accessing adult-oriented web pages and apps, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed 1.6 million reports since its inception and remains a vital global resource.
“ASACP relies on support from industry leaders like BorderAges to provide our services and tools free of charge to parents and the community,” Henning added. “These resources help empower families, companies, and content creators of all sizes to stop minors from accessing age-restricted content.”
