SAN FRANCISCO—Falcon | NakedSword’s award-winning filmmaker Steve Cruz was inducted into the GayVN Hall of Fame, honoring a career that spans more than two decades. A former model-turned-director, Cruz has made a lasting impact both in front of and behind the camera.
Cruz debuted in a hit Raging Stallion production in 2006 and quickly rose to become one of the industry’s top stars, earning Grabby Awards for Best Newcomer and Performer of the Year, plus a GayVN Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In 2008, Cruz expanded his creative influence when he directed his first feature for Falcon Studios. He soon built a respected career behind the camera, regularly serving as cinematographer, editor, producer, and writer.
“Steve Cruz’s induction into the GayVN Hall of Fame is richly deserved and long overdue,” said Falcon | NakedSword president and CEO Tim Valenti. “From iconic performer to award-winning director, Steve has helped define the past and inform the future of our industry. His talent and impact are undeniable, and we’re proud to celebrate his legacy."
“It’s hard to believe that 20 years have gone by in a flash—and all of it spent with an amazing team of creatives who have been a family to me,” said Cruz. “The Falcon | NakedSword brands gave me purpose and kept me growing artistically, year after year."
