Dominic Ford Reflects on Collab Week Fire Island for Out
LOS ANGELES—JustFor.fans founder and CEO Dominic Ford reflects on the inaugural Collab Week Fire Island and the community it brought together in a new Out feature, “Meet the Sexy Men Who Attended Collab Week Fire Island," written by Ricky Cornish.
The feature looks back on a week that drew around 60 models to Fire Island from around the world for content creation, nightlife, and shared experiences at Reflections, Doll Invasion, and the Underwear Party at Ice Palace. Out also spotlights JFF models Matthew Ellis, Roxas Caelum, Grant Ducati, Alfonso and Jace Starr, while noting that Ford is already considering ways to make the next Fire Island event more accessible and more affordable for attendees.
“I have a love affair with Fire Island. I have been here for 21 years,” Ford told Out. “It was absolutely my joy to watch a large group of people who have never been here discover the magic of the island themselves, and fall in love with it.” Reflecting on the event itself, he added, “It was such an affirming experience for everyone.”
Ford also looks ahead to the return of Collab Week Puerto Vallarta this December, following last year’s turnout of more than 200 models. “Collab Week PV is amazing, and I cannot wait for it,” he said. “Last year, most models said it was the best event they have ever been to, and this year we have even more in store for them.”
