Michael McGrady Jr is the legal and political contributing editor for AVN.com and contributing editor to AVN Magazine. 

McGrady has credits in the South China Morning Post, Splinter, The Salt Lake City Weekly, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Filter, Inside Sources, Missouri Independent, Kansas City Pitch, Alabama Political Reporter, The Motley Fool, International Policy Digest, Cleveland Scene, and many more around the world.

As a journalist and researcher, he focuses on digital rights, civil liberties, freedom of expression, LGBTQ+ rights on the internet, and the public-private intersection of commercial sex work and the government.

McGrady also volunteered with the nonprofit group the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection.

He is a member of the Free Speech Coalition, the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, and the Society of Professional Journalists. He was previously a Association of Health Care Journalists and the Author's Guild member.
