First introduced to the porn world in 2003 via Seymore Butts' Showtime reality series Family Business, on which she transitioned from working as a receptionist to having her various orifices worked for all the world to see, Mari Possa built a strong fan base over her first few years as one of Butts' contract "Tushy Girls."

Also making numerous appearances on Playboy TV and going on contract very briefly with Adam & Eve Pictures, Mari subsequently left the business entirely to pursue a degree in broadcasting. But after several years away, she decided she missed the excitement and attention of it all, and in 2012 she announced she had returned as a free agent for glamour, solo, fetish and girl/girl work.

The same year, she was featured on the cover of Dirty Talk: Conversations With Porn Stars, a book by Andrew Rausch and Chris Watson containing interviews with herself, Nina Hartley, Asia Carrera, Hyapatia Lee, Jill Kelly and a number of the industry's other biggest names.
