Biography
I was born in Baltimore, Maryland but I really grew up in Europe because of my father's job. When I was seven my family moved to a farm in Scotland. I loved being surrounded by nature and I spent a lot of time playing with the animals ... cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and rabbits. I am an only child so the animals were my best friends. It was a great way to grow up. I loved everything about Scotland (except the weather and the food) and I really hope to go back sometime. My last name is Scottish so my family really got involved in the local culture. I took up Scottish highland dancing and used to compete all over the country. I still have my kilt to this day.
When I was thirteen we moved to Augsburg, Germany for four years. There I really had the best of both worlds - I attended an American high school (where of course I was a cheerleader) but I also learned to speak German. My family traveled all over Europe and I am really grateful that I had the opportunity to see and do so much at such a young age.
Moving back to Maryland at the end of my senior year of high school was really hard but I made it through and went on to Loyola College where I majored in German and Political Science. I graduated summa cum laude and I even joined Phi Beta Kappa (who says pretty girls aren't smart?)
I went on to law school at George Washington University. Modeling and acting were always what I wanted to do, but my family felt that education is the most important thing. I was modeling on the side during school but I soon found out that modeling, acting and attending law school at the same time is impossible! So I decided to just go for it and try to MAKE IT BIG.
I knew in my heart that otherwise I would always regret not trying. At the time it was a tough decision especially because I felt like I was letting my family down, but I packed my stuff in the car and headed alone to Miami to pursue my dream... And that's when my modeling and acting career began...
I landed roles in Wild Things with Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon and The Holy Man with Eddie Murphy and Jeff Goldblum as well as TV commercials for Bally Total Fitness, the American Red Cross, British Telecom, Woman's Own magazine and a fitness infomercial on QVC for the ChestPro 2000. I began modeling for lots of fitness, swimwear and lingerie magazines and catalogs, including the covers of Fitness Plus Magazine and Boating.
I had a blast in sunny South Beach, but after a year it was time to move up to New York City.
I continued acting with roles on Saturday Night Live, The View and Ed on NBC and as a Hooters waitress in Adam Sandler's movie Big Daddy. I play Caprice in the new Elizabeth Hurley/Dennis Leary film Double Whammy coming out soon and I just did my first appearance on The Howard Stern Show!
In 1999 I appeared in my first Playboy Special Editions Book "Real Sex 2". It was an amazing experience. I love working with Playboy and I am so lucky to have gotten to go to so many interesting places with them. I have had layouts in fifteen Playboy Special Editions and I have been featured on the cover twice.
It has been a dream come true to work with Playboy. I traveled with them to the Mardi Gras in 1999 and 2000 for their live Web cast - what a blast. Then I was chosen as the "Playboy.com Party Girl", hosting Hef's parties at the Mansion with half hour broadcasts for Playboy.com. What a fun job!
What's next? Who knows? It has been an exciting ride so far. I've just relocated to Los Angeles and I LOVE IT! My ultimate goal is to host my own show on TV ... keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully you'll be seeing much more of me soon!
