In 2004 there was another HIV outbreak in the US around a talent member who brought back HIV from Brazil. Due to the constant monitoring of the talent in the US who uses the AIM monitoring system each month, AIM was able to detect HIV early enough in the exposure to have only spread to 4 persons. Today, there still only remain 17 total cases of HIV since the founding of AIM in 1998 in the Adult Entertainment Industry. In 2005, Dr. Mitchell teamed with Doug Wightman who offered to provide expertise and an extensive data base. At this time, Dr. Mitchell decided to expand the services that AIM had been providing to the Adult Industry. AIM, being a non-profit, could not properly serve the amount of general public who are in need of using the state of the art testing that AIM provides. SXCheck.com was founded to care for the needs of the general public, and today both AIM and SXCheck are available through out the US and are growing globally.
