Ashley Blue worked several jobs before kick-starting her career in adult. "I was fired from every one of them," says Blue. "I was a receptionist. I was a waitress. I got fired as a hostess at a restaurant for sleeping on the job!"

Blue's whip-smart tongue and intense performances quickly established her as favorite amongst fans and industry players alike. In 2004, she took home the AVN award for Female Performer of the Year and signed a three-year contract with hardcore studio JM Productions.

Blue collaborated with JM owner Jeff Steward and director Jim Powers to develop the studio's insanely popular and multiple AVN Award-winning series Girlvert. "Girlvert is a mockery of my life," explains Blue. "I ran away from home. I started doing porno. I hate my mom. I hate my dad. Everything that has happened to me in porn, is in the series. Every time I get gonorrhea, we throw it into the story."

Blue ended her contract with JM Productions in February 2007. She remains on good terms with the studio and continues to perform in the Girlvert movies.
