Webster’s defines couture as “the business of designing, making, and selling fashionable custom-made women’s clothing.” While CalExotics has not gotten into the high-fashion clothing business (though they do offer packaged lingerie and costumes), they have appropriated an accurate moniker for their upscale line of toys designed with the discerning diva in mind. Cal has expanded the first wave of Couture vibes with fanciful creations like “bliss,” a hands-free, wireless, remote-controlled, rechargeable egg that’s perfect for naughty nymphs as well as kinky couples who enjoy playing in and out of the bedroom. The pink satin-finished egg is waterproof and recharges in its matching heart-shaped cradle/base (definitely NOT waterproof) to hold a charge for 24-48 hours in standby mode. The remote has a reach of about 16 feet—which may or may not be the distance from your table to the ladies room at The Polo Lounge—and toggles through seven variations of “vibration, pulsation & escalation.” Our test subjects found the egg to be lightweight yet powerful, and quiet enough to not draw attention—even in church! It also comes with a “handy retrieval cord” which our testers found handy, indeed. All in all, “bliss” is just that; a discreet toy that you can recommend to any couple looking for new kicks. And these days, that’s just about everyone.
