With the recent signing of veteran director Thomas Zupko, Hustler Video expects that his unique vision will bring something different and exciting to the growing video division.
"I can be a handful sometimes but that's what allows me to create the movies that I love to make," Zupko said.
Obsessions of Avy Scott, coming on Sept. 27, is the first feature presentation for Hustler Video directed and produced by Zupko. With a cast of girls including Tory Lane, Vanessa Michaels, Taylor Kurtis, Katie Morgan and a return performance by Avy Scott, Hustler said Zupko has created a movie that is both disturbing and beautiful.
"People just don't know what to expect when they meet Thomas, but I can tell you that he really hit the mark with his latest feature for Hustler Video," said Drew Rosenfeld, creative director for LFP Video.
The video portrays the life's ambition and desires through the obsessions of Scott, which don't always measure up with reality. "This could be the life of everyone of us where our aspirations when met with reality don't always live up to our expectations," Zupko said. "No matter how much she changed or adjusted to fit in with others, it's within herself that she actually finds salvation through death."
Zupko earned the 2005 AVN Award for Best Themed Anal-Themed Feature for his Big Wet Asses. His Butt Blasted for VCA Pictures is doing well and his new deal calls for a mixture of feature fare and gonzo titles.
"I like being here at Hustler because they are giving me the power to create and that's what I do best," he said.
