Zero Tolerance Team Captures Bob Tremont Memorial Golf Tournament

The Zero Tolerance foursome won the Fifth Annual Bob Tremont Memorial Golf Tournament Sunday afternoon at the sprawling Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland.

More than a dozen four-person teams from various companies in the adult industry competed in the best-ball, scramble tournament organized by the Free Speech Coalition and sponsored by Topco Sales, Hustler, California Exotic Novelties, Marina Pacific Distributors, M&M Sales, Eddie’s Kids and Goalie Entertainment.

Led by Zero Tolerance president Greg Alves and Third Degree president Joey Wilson, with help from Triplex Distributors’ Scott Field and Gary, the Zero Tolerance group finished with the best net gross score of 14-under par 56 on the challenging course.

“We had a good start and I knew Greg was a decent golfer. He had the long game going and I helped us with the short game with a couple putts,” Wilson said. “It was a team effort and it was a blast.”

The New Beginnings group, comprised of Rick Wolfe, Bryan Berber and Chuck McCarthy took the top prize for low net score, also carding a 14-under 56 on the sweltering day.

Several companies sponsored individual holes on the 6,169-yard, Southwestern-style course designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. This year’s hole sponsors included Doc Johnson, Wicked Pictures, Topco Sales, GVA-Cleveland, Fairvilla Superstores, Cinderella Distributors, California Exotic Novelties, M&M/Goalie and Eddie’s Kids, Lion’s Den, Zero Tolerance, Great Western Litho, Williams Trading and AVN.

Each participant received a gift bag courtesy of Doc Johnson, Topco Sales, Fantasy Castle and FSC.

FSC executive director Michelle Freridge and retailer Sherri Williams presided over the awards ceremony at the 10th hole, where a buffet-style lunch was served after the scramble. Freridge thanked everyone for being patient with the recent 2257 processing and all the FSC volunteers, calling them “incredible.”

Two of Sunday’s Night of the Stars honorees, Topco’s Scott Tucker and the Lion’s Den’s Mike Moran, played in the event and Bill Margold and Anita Cannibal sold mulligans at the registration tent before it began.
