Zero Regrets Launches New 2257 Management Suite

Zero Regrets LLC has released what it calls “an enhanced 2257 compliance application”: OMARS v.2.0. OMARS (an acronym for “online management and retrieval system”) is a state-of-the-art application the company believes incorporates all data elements required to comply with the regulations for enforcing 18 U.S.C. §2257, mandated by the U.S. attorney general in June.

Described as a “co-relational database and document storage system,” OMARS consists of seven modules that can work together or independently to store information and assist in its retrieval in-house and by regulatory agencies (like the U.S. Department of Justice). The seven modules – user management, contacts management, producer listing, production details management, talent profile management, talent search, and self-audit checklist – are designed not only to manage 2257 documentation, but also to index and cross reference, as well as secure other records upon which adult entertainment businesses rely.

“Our application specialists have analyzed the products from competitors and find major inherent flaws in their applications,” says Zero Regrets’ general manager Chuck Krause, a six-year veteran of information technology in the adult sector. “These range from indexing and cross referencing discrepancies, redundant data entry requirements, and a cumbersome, burdensome design. We focus on what is right for your business, not ours.”

OMARS is an online system; all data is maintained on Zero Regrets’ secure servers, which Krause says are redundantly backed up and bear four levels of user-access security. “Every level only sees the data approved for that level,” he notes.

Data maintained within OMARS can be downloaded in several formats for sharing with others who do not employ the system, and digital copies of databases are available to clients on CDs monthly by request.

Of paramount concern for Zero Regrets is client independence and segregation, Krause says. “Every client has an independent database. We are not data aggregators,” he notes, “Client confidentiality is sacred.”

OMARS is licensed annually to clients at a cost of $1,500. The system can be scaled and customized to each client’s needs.

In addition to 2257 data management, Zero Regrets performs a variety of other services for adult businesses, including hosting and IT management, consulting, and integration.
