In an effort to make its long-standing online forums friendlier to both adult industry veterans and newbies, YNOT Network has updated the rules governing its General Board.
“We have traditionally had some of the strictest policies in the industry in terms of what we consider spam,” said YNOT Network President Connor Young. “While I think the goal of keeping our message boards professional and on topic was commendable, a side effect was that too many legitimate announcements were being purged. With our new, less restrictive policies in place, we think the YNOT General Message Board will now provide a better place for webmasters to network, interact, and keep their fingers on the pulse of the industry.”
Although the rules for the General Board will be relaxed, popular topic boards like “Newbie” and “Legal & Politics” will continue to be moderated heavily. This means those webmasters who prefer a more ordered message board experience still can find that at YNOT, Young said.
The YNOT chat boards also have undergone some minor technical upgrades. The YNOT General Board now will show message threads from all of the boards on YNOT; surfers can use the General Board to see all of the topics being discussed at any time. Additionally, typing in “boards.ynot.com” now will take surfers directly to the YNOT General Board, bypassing the home page.
Enhancements also have been made to the way the message boards display images, so webmasters who want to share pictures of their latest Web models now will find YNOT’s boards much improved for that purpose.
“Rick Muenyong founded YNOT as an industry resource, and we want to stay sensitive to the needs of the adult webmasters who use YNOT on a day-to-day basis,” Young said. “The changes that we made were simple, but they will have a very big impact on the nature of our message boards.”
