Scott Stein’s XXX-treme Vacation trips, which give paying guests a chance to mingle with porn stars, will offer a new package for 2004, destination Los Angeles. Previous Vacations, from 1998 to 2000, were in Mexico, but next year fans will rub elbows with adult performers in their natural habitat, the movie sets of Porn Valley.
Stein’s SMS Promotions is offering four trips, in April, July, October and December. They include not only hotel accommodations and other amenities but, most importantly, two visits to adult movie sets. The movies will be productions by Video Team—a tour co-sponsor along with AVN—and Stein’s SMS Promotions. They’ll each shoot four movies, one per trip.
Stein’s productions—his first—will be “all young, all anal.” He is close to firming up a distribution deal.
Stein says he’s received daily inquiries about the vacations since he did his last one in 2000. He scouted foreign destinations but finally decided to do it locally. The package will be marketed to both individuals and couples, with a cap of 20 people per trip. That group will be split into 10 for the two set visits. Limiting the number of guests, Stein feels, will make for a more intimate environment, with greater opportunities for personalized attention. He is personally calling all previous Vacation guests to offer them first shot at this one.
The first XXX-treme Vacations garnered much attention in the non-adult press. They were written up in Maxim, Stuff, Forbes, Detour, Details, profiled on Playboy TV and featured several times on The Howard Stern Show.
“The bottom line,” says Stein, “is I think there’s a need for a Vacation of this nature. Rather than people waiting four hours to get an autograph [at the Adult Entertainment Expo] in Las Vegas, there’s a need for people to socialize and be around adult performers and actually watch them work.”
