XTV Begins Shipping

Adult set-top box manufacturers XTV, the brainchild of Pornholio’s Dave Koenig, have started shipping their first units to the public.

Pre-subscribers started receiving their boxes this week, a little later than originally planned. At the time the company debuted XTV, at this year’s Internext Expo, executives were shooting for a February shipping date.

“It ran into March, but we’re still really happy with where we’re at,” director of marketing Fabian Citraro told AVNOnline.com. “This is going to be a large rollout. There are a lot of different elements that add up to what XTV really is and so far we’re right on cue. We weren’t even moved by the date so much as to how far we’ve come with the network. It’s awesome.”

XTV’s set-top box streams adult content through a broadband Internet connection to hardware that connects to a television. The company is currently developing their affiliate program, beta testing it with select distributors.

“What’s next is a fairly large rollout with the affiliate program,” Citraro said. “We’re going to try to offer all the tools that anyone needs, whether that be a webmaster or our retail affiliates. The difference between XTV and other sites is we have multiple channels and we have a lot of great deals in place.”

The XTV Network consists of live TV channels, Pornholio Interactive, and a library of pay-per-view titles. Subscriptions run $29.95 per month, plus $179.95 for the box, and can be cancelled at any time.
