A 40-year-old Florida woman is scheduled to give birth live on the Internet Tuesday, the first ever on-line delivery, a cable television health network said Friday. \n "We want this to be an educational event," said Dr. Walt Latimore, host of Ask the Family Doctor on Americas Health Network. \n "There are a lot of misconceptions about childbirth. We want to show that it's not so scary and how much control the mother actually has," he said. \n The mother, who wanted to be identified only by her first name Elizabeth, already has three school-aged children. They and her husband will all be present, along with an Internet audience that can access the birth at ahn.com on the World Wide Web. \n She was the perfect candidate, network spokeswoman Ginger Adams said. \n "Her first three labors were all very quick and she was already planning to have labor induced for this delivery," she said. "She's been so quick in the past that she was worried about giving birth in the car on the way to the hospital." \n The netcast will begin when she is admitted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Woman and Children at 6 a.m. Tuesday. Birth is scheduled about 7 a.m., and will be shown from "discreet angles," Adams said. \n Those planning to watch should plan to visit the health networks website early, where they can get instructions for downloading the necessary software. \n Americas Health Network, which films at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando and reaches 7.2 million cable subscribers around the United States, has already spoiled the ending, though.\n It's a boy.
