HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Adult movie director Will Ryder has completed principal production on American Hustle XXX, a parody for Smash Pictures. The big-budget movie features a stellar cast of 16 and early word is that the movie shoot involved very long hours and sterling performances. Twitter is abuzz with photos of adult actors who might easily be confused with their mainstream counterparts.
Penny Pax and Aaliyah Love played the female leads made famous by Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence. Veteran performer Tommy Gunn played the Irving Rosenfeld con artist made famous by Christian Bale, and Ryan McLane brought Bradley Cooper's FBI agent Richie DiMaso into the porn world.
American Hustle was bestowed with ten Academy Awards nominations, so those involved with the porn parody knew they had their work cut out for them if they want to earn any adult industry awards.
"I loved every minute on the set with these fantastic actors and working with Will Ryder is a real pleasure," stated Aaliyah Love. "I didn't care that we were still shooting the final day at three in the morning, because it just felt really good."
Word has it that Aaliyah played Roselyn Rosenfeld so well that she'll make New Jersey residents proud when the movie is released later this summer.
"It's pretty obvious why Will Ryder and (producer) Scott David stand in the winner's circle at the awards shows, because they really know how to put an entertaining movie together," offered Penny Pax, who plays the ultra-sexy Sydney Prosser. "I'm so happy I was a part of this,"
Van Wylde, playing the role of Mayor Carmine Polito, said he was impressed with the detail the X-Play crew fought for to deliver this movie for Smash Pictures. "Everything is really unbelievable from the clothes to the sets to the script. I cannot imagine doing this movie any better," he said.
A tired but happy Ryder commented after wrapping his shoot, "I love my cast and this was a very big involved movie to shoot and we're all exhausted. I'm so happy with the effort and sexual performances of our cast as they took this movie to places I could have only imaged in my mind. Our crew is also dedicated and I thank them."
Joining the leads were Cuban sensation Luna Star, sultry Rio Lee, rising starlet Carter Cruise and the sweetness of Mia Austin. Alongside Gunn and McLane were Tommy Pistol, Kurt Lockwood, Eric John, Frank Bukkwyd, James Bartholet, Jack Vegas and Will Ryder, who makes a rare on-screen cameo.
