MONTREAL—Wicked Pictures on Friday announced the release of Once Upon a Time in the Valley, a new movie from director Seth Gamble set against the glamorous and gritty backdrop of 1990s Los Angeles.
Billed as a character-driven drama that delves into "the intoxicating highs and devastating lows of the adult film industry’s golden era," the story centers on Steve Jacobs, a naive newcomer whose wide-eyed ambition leads him straight into the center of the adult entertainment scene. But beneath the glamour and fame lies a world teeming with hidden agendas, shifting alliances, and dangerous seductions.
As Steve climbs the ladder of stardom, he’s forced to navigate a treacherous landscape filled with friendships, rivalries, lust, betrayal, and secrets. Each step forward draws him deeper into a tangled web of volatile egos and elusive loyalties. With every success comes a new risk and a new realization: in this world, not everyone is who they claim to be.
“This wasn’t just a project—it was a piece of my soul,” Gamble explains. “Wicked believed in this vision and helped bring it to life. I worked with the most talented cast and crew I’ve ever known. Ken Feels and Sinatra Monroe—your first scene together was electric. You gave life to these characters and set the tone for the entire series. Every frame reflects the passion, patience, and brilliance of our team. This is just the beginning.”
The premiere scene will be available exclusively on June 20 exclusively on Wicked. The opening scene showcases the chemistry between Feels and Monroe, whose pairing sets the emotional and erotic stakes from the outset. Parker Ambrose and Jennifer White add gravity and allure, hinting at the complex web Steve is stepping into.
A tribute to "the raw ambition and vulnerability behind the camera," 'Once Upon a Time in the Valley is a story about "chasing dreams and what happens when the dream starts chasing you."
