Wicked Pictures to Release <i>Curse Eternal</>

Wicked Pictures will release director Brad Armstrong’s big-budget feature, Curse Eternal, on March 8. Armstrong has been celebrated for several of his past features, including Euphoria, Eternity and Sold.

“I don’t want to blow my own horn too much, but I think that this is one of my best movies,” Armstrong told AVN.com.

Curse Eternal stars 2005 AVN Best Actress winner and Wicked contract girl, Jessica Drake, as Samantha Stewart, an archeologist who embarks on an expedition to uncover the secrets of an ancient tomb inhabited by Queen Neferkala, played by Kaylani Lei. This was the last feature that Lei shot as a Wicked Pictures contract girl.

“Like The Collector, Curse Eternal was a really pivotal feature for me,” Drake told AVN.com. “I really liked the characters and was honored to work with all the performers, including Kaylani Lei on her last movie for us.”

After Stewart transfers Neferkala’s tomb back to the United States for further study, she accidentally awakens Queen Neferkala, who she soon discovers is an ancient force of sexual terror.

Curse Eternal also stars Wicked Pictures newest contract star and 2006 AVN Best Supporting Actor winner, Randy Spears. In the feature, Spears plays Jon Stewart, Stewart’s archeologist father who is determined to find the artifact discovery of the century.

The feature was shot in Palmdale (for the sandy locations that replicated ancient Egypt, as well as some warehouses in Los Angeles). Both Armstrong and Drake agree that the art and set directions are just a few of Cure Eternal’s strong points. “We worked hard to make it really authentic,” noted Drake.

The feature was not without a few little curses of its own. As Drake tells it, the seven-day shoot coincided with the visit of the tour for the tomb of King Tut through Southern California. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was throwing an Egyptian-themed party to celebrate the sarcophagus’ arrival, and subsequently, several of the larger props that had been reserved for Curse Eternal were being repossessed for the Governor’s party. Armstrong and his feature were forced to deal with weather and location problems as well. “But everything came together really nicely,” assured Armstrong.

“Epic-like features like this one can come together into something really cool or really cheesy, and I think, from the acting to the sex to the editing, this one was a success.”

Curse Eternal comes in a two-disc set with nine sex scenes, including a seven-person orgy, a girl/girl/girl scene and a fourway, in which Drake submits to an anal pile-driver from Armstrong. Disc two includes “making of” footage, three bonus sex scenes, multiple photo galleries, a blooper reel and an interview with Armstrong.

“There was really great sex in this one,” commented Drake. “Sometimes, when you do a feature like this, the sex gets lost. But Brad did a grab job of directing and keeping the sex strong. I got to work with a few of my favorite performers in the orgy scenes,” she added.
