Welsh Vehicle License Worker Fired for Cell Phone Sex Clips

Two weeks after she was suspended, a Welsh junior worker for Britain's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency was fired over cell phone clips that showed her having sex with her boyfriend.

Heather Muirhead claims someone else took her cell phone from a desk drawer and sent its contents around the DVLA offices. A brief DVLA statement obtained by icWales said only that a "junior member of the staff has been dismissed for gross misconduct."

Muirhead and her boyfriend, chef Lee Jones, reportedly gave a newspaper interview in which they said others' actions ruined their lives, while icWales said Muirhead may be thinking of challenging the decision before a British labor tribunal.

Earlier this month, Muirhead's sexy video clips were seen by a reported 300 fellow DVLA workers within hours of being found and uploaded to computers. She admitted she downloaded the clips to her cell phone and sent them to friends, according to the BBC.

Muirhead at the time was advised to go home until the DVLA could complete an internal investigation.

An unnamed friend of Muirhead told icWales that what Muirhead and her boyfriend did wasn't unheard of. "How was she to know that someone would send it on—and then it would spread?" the friend asked. "Lots of couples use the home camcorder or video phone to make these sort of films. It was all perfectly normal and healthy. It is a lot of fuss over nothing."
