Website Claiming Rights to Sell Cameron Diaz Softcore Tape Allegedly not Legit

The “S&M tape” that Cameron Diaz made in 1992 is real, but a Website’s claim that they have the rights to sell the video online allegedly is not.

According to publicist Kevin Blatt, a press release sent by Scandal-Inc.com earlier today announcing their possession of the video was riddled with falsehoods – including quotes attributed to Blatt.

“They tried to hire me to publicize this, but they wouldn’t sign any indemnification papers and I wasn’t going to do anything until I knew it was legit,” Blatt said. “They faked the quotes from me on their press release.”

Blatt suspects that Scandal-Inc has forged paperwork that shows that the Website owns the rights to a film shot in 1992 with a young Cameron Diaz. His experience representing Sexbrat.com, the Website that thought they had purchased the rights to the Paris Hilton video, taught him to insist on indemnification when agreeing to represent clients hawking celebrity sex tapes.

Though pitched as an “S&M” tape, Blatt says there’s really just some nudity and a scene with Diaz spreading whip cream on her body – not enough, he says, for the $39.95 price of a membership to the site.

“A lot of it is outtakes. A lot of people would have been very upset with what they purchased at that price,” Blatt said.

Blatt was contacted by someone he would only identify as "Alex" a few weeks ago about handling the publicity for the Diaz tape. "The interesting thing is that they contacted me by ICQ, and very few people have my ICQ number," Blatt said. "He said that Gary from the Stern show had recommended me." Blatt says that's highly unlikely. "Gary definately doesn't have my ICQ number and probably wouldn't recommend me by name. He might say the Paris Hilton guy or something like that, but not by name."

According to Blatt, "Alex" is the man identified in the press release as Losha.

“I must say that Ms. Diaz looks very sexy in this footage and of course her being topless and at the peak of her beauty is a major plus for us”, said Losha, Scandal-Inc.com’s spokesman, in the press release sent this morning, “ it’s not everyday people get to see the biggest female movie star in Hollywood, in this type of an exciting role, and boy is she hot!”

An 818 area code was listed on the press release, though the Caribbean island St. Kitts is noted as the place the story originates from.

Blatt has already received a cease and desist from Diaz's lawyers.
