The Bible says to love your neighbors, not to tape them. It's a point Steve Glover of Monroe, La. might want to consider during the three years he will be put on probation after being found guilty of unauthorized entry. \n Glover, a deacon of the church and a good friend of his neighbors, secretly installed video cameras in the bathroom and bedroom of the family next door, a couple with a teenage daughter. \n The wife said she knew Glover since she was a child. They even exchanged house keys so they could keep an eye on each other's places when one was away. That's apparently how Glover gained access to install his cameras. A camera was found in the attic last June. \n The deacon might have gotten a far more severe sentence but Louisiana has no law against using a video camera to invade the privacy of a neighbor. Prosecutor Jerry Jones said he hopes the legislature will soon make video voyeurism a crime. \n Glover could have been prosecuted for making illegal sound recordings or for obscenity. To obtain convictions, though, the tapes that were made would have had to have been played in open court, posing a somewhat embarrassing situation for the family in the small town. \n Part of Glover's sentence requires him to return all tapes to the family he photographed. He has turned over tapes but the wife said she doubts she has them all.
