Vivid Entertainment Group has signed a licensing agreement for apparel and novelty gifts with International Company of Unique Products (ICUP) Inc., a licensing and distribution firm which represents major brands in the music and entertainment fields. ICUP licensed properties include “Family Guy,” the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, AC/DC and Kiss, among others.
ICUP will launch the new product line officially at the MAGIC Marketplace Show in Las Vegas next week, with special appearances by the Vivid Girls, who will sign autographs and pose for snapshots.
Under terms of the deal, ICUP will create a variety of products, including a range of t-shirts for men and women as well as a variety of gift items including a puzzle, a card game and barware.
“ICUP is a gift company with a propensity toward sex and rock n’ roll, so the Vivid product is perfect for us,” said ICUP’s Steven Trachtenberg. “We have received commitments from several national chains and we expect enthusiasm for the product to be fabulous when we get to the MAGIC show, August 28.”
“This is exactly the kind of licensing partner we love to have,” said Steven Hirsch, co-founder and co-chairman of Vivid. “They understand Vivid’s crossover appeal to mainstream and are highly experienced and well-established in their business category. They also know how to have fun with their product designs, manufacture with outstanding quality and have excellent distribution.”
