Vivid co-founder Steve Hirsch was joined by Vivid Girl Sunrise Adams earlier today on Fox New Channel’s popular business show Your World With Neil Cavuto.
Cavuto, who referred to Hirsch as the “king of porn,” discussed the growth of the adult industry, the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding Internet filters in libraries, the longevity of a career in porn, safety practices, whether Hirsch and Adams would let their children enter the industry, and what Adams expects for her future. During the interview, non-sex scenes from Vivid videos played on the split screen.
“We’re in a very competitive industry and there are many, many companies that we compete with. And it’s important for us to stay ahead of the game, to focus on future technologies, to continue to exploit and expand our brand. And if were able to do that, I think that we can stay one step ahead,” Hirsch told Cavuto, in regards to the growth of the adult industry.
At one point Cavuto asked if Hirsch was thinking of taking Vivid public, Hirsch admitted he had considered the idea, but didn’t think that now was the time.
Noting that porn stars traditionally have a short shelf life, Cavuto asked Adams if she was worried about that. Adams pointed out that she was pursuing a business management degree and was interested in real estate.
Cavuto has been nominated for five Cable ACE awards, and has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal as the best interviewer in business news.
The episode of Your World With Neil Cavuto that includes the interview with Hirsch and Adams will play again tonight at 10 p.m. PST and 1 a.m. EST.
