Come Sunday, the AIDS Walk New York will include a very vivid team - a team sponsored by Vivid Girl and AVN Best Actress Savanna Samson, with members and donors getting free "Had Savanna" T-shirts as the team starts the 6.2 mile march for fighting HIV and AIDS. "This is a very important issue to me. so I have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $10,000," Samson said announcing the team sponsorship. "I want to do as much as I can to make a difference in not only the lives of those in the Adult Industry but the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV and AIDS in all walks of life." The prize-winning adult actress, who won Best Actress and Best Group Sex Scene for Looking In, said drugs and other treatments now in widespread use against HIV and AIDS don't work for everyone and a cure remains way out of sight. "Moreover, in this day and age, AIDS does not discriminate," Samson continued, "and we must all be concerned. It is vital that we raise the funds necessary to find a way to end this epidemic. Together, we can make a difference." Samson, who said through a representative that she's aiming for 25 sponsors at least, will not be alone among the celebrities at the walk. Other celebrity walkers are scheduled to include Queer Eye for the Straight Guy stars Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez, actress Parker Posey, and longtime stage and television star Leslie Uggams. The Savanna Group team will be near the sign-in area preparing for the walk at 59th Street and 5th Avenue between 8:30-9:45 a.m. EDT, with the walk itself beginning at 10:00 a.m. If you want to sponsor her for the event, visit her personalized Website for more information. Samson's most recent Vivid films include The Wedding, Savanna Takes Control, and Savanna Scores.
