The new label Vivid-Alt has begun shipping its debut title, The Rebelle Rousers, which is the directorial debut of photographer Winkytiki.
The rockabilly-inspired release stars Kimberly Kane, Page Morgan, Mysti May, Lexi Bardot, Nadia Styles and Dragonlily, with a special appearance by pin-up model Masuimi Max.
Executive producer Eon McKai told AVN.com the title has been met with a strong early response.
“It’s going out big. It’s been great, and also the fact that Masuimi Max has a cameo in it kind of heating things up there has been a huge buzz on the Internet alone,” McKai said Tuesday. “The party [last Thursday] was awesome. … We had real people from the rockabilly and psychobilly scene. Those are the people that are going to have to have that movie. It was really cool to see all the talent from the movie hang with the people from that scene. It’s not a scene that I’m a part of, so it really expands Alt.”
McKai said that the feature includes more hard sex than usual and is contained in some high-end packaging.
“There’s a lot of support for it, and Winkytiki has quite a following. There’s so many fans of his photography,” McKai continued.
Winkytiki, who gained experience in adult as a second videographer for director Jack the Zipper, drew inspiration for the project from the exploitation films and old pin-ups of the 50’s and 60’s.
“He is totally on fire as an artist,” McKai said. “I feel like I’ve created a monster and I have to feed it now. As we speak he’s shooting a scene in his garage. He is taking his budgets and just stretching them to the limits and he is getting talent that not everyone has access to. His passion for doing this just blows me away.”
