Video-on-Demand (VOD) company VideoPassCash.com has joined forces with former Cybererotica president Jonathan Silverstein to officially launch VideoPass.com, a new model of low-cost VOD service.
The service offers VOD full-film rentals or VOD in pay-per-minute chunks, as is industry standard. However, they also offer monthly memberships for $34.95, which gives users access to their entire library of 1,200 films.
VideoPass plans to compete by selling more pay-per-minute time for less money and letting users keep rentals longer.
“Our intention is to take a lot of the market share from the existing companies that offer VOD,” Silverstein said. “Not only are we going to add more value and offer more for less money, but we’re paying Webmasters out more, so the motivation to do business with us is going to be greater.”
Webmasters who sign up with VideoPassCash.com are receiving 30 percent commissions on all pay-per-minute and rental purchases and 50 percent on membership purchases. Both models offer lifetime recurring payouts on every customer.
VideoPassCash offers webmasters simple linking codes, co-branded theater generators, a free hosted MPG generator, traveling VOD movie theaters and hosted banners.
Silverstein’s company Virtual iNet Promotions is handling the webmaster relations and sales and marketing efforts for VideoPass. He is teamed with AdultCheck.com co-founder Marty Sarkisov, who originally hatched the idea of VideoPass last year.
Silverstein is currently working on expanding the VideoPass library and said his team is in contact with new studios daily.
“We’re adding studios all the time and not only are we just adding studios, we’re adding top-name studios that consumers will recognize,” he said.
