Need something to offer your porn-viewing audience as reminder of their favorite Web site? Now you can give them a Videolator.
Despite the catchy title, a Videolator is simply a custom-designed XXX Windows Media Player skin made by Devilspost owner Douglas Haynes, who has thus far been designing the skins for free.
“I’ve been giving them away for free because no one knows if they’ll generate any money for them. It’s more geared towards putting an impression of the site on the surfer,” Haynes said.
Once the skin is installed and selected on the user’s computer, every time they click on a Windows Media file the branded player pops up, regardless of where the video is coming from.
So far, Haynes has designed skins for ArikaAmes.com, BabesOnCam.com and Mary34D.com, among others – all of which are available for download on Devilspost.
“It’s a cool way to customize the media player,” Haynes said. “Everyone has players showing the plain Windows Media Player in their preview area, when they should have their own player.”
He also sees it as a bonus for members.
“It’s a collector’s item too. They’re really cool for members,” Haynes said. “In members areas, the guys fall in love with these girls.”
