Veteran Fetish Director Weston to Helm Buckshot Line for Colt

Colt Studio President John Rutherford announced this week that former MASTA Entertainment founder and director Kristofer Weston has been hired to direct Colt's Buckshot line of videos.

The 37-year-old director, who made a name for himself in the early '90s as an adult performer in leather-, fetish-, and wrestling-themed titles under the name Steve Landess, joins Colt fresh from a three-year directing stint at Falcon Studios.

Weston kicked off his Buckshot gig filming a scene for the upcoming Couples II. Shot on location in Australia, the scene features Aussie bodybuilder Cannon in a duo with Jake Andrews. Weston also worked as the assistant director to Rutherford on the soon-to-be-released Colt title HOG: The Leather File.

Weston's hiring is the latest in a line of noticeable strides Rutherford has made since his purchase of Colt. Aside re-starting the long-dormant production facility, Rutherford has hired several Colt exclusives, including Tod Parker, Adam Dexter, Dave Angelo, Carlo Mossi, former Colt print model Karim, and, most recently Edu Boxer.

"What I want to do with Buckshot is make it more mainstream," Rutherford told AVN.com. "I want it to be the line for previously seen models to appear in videos for us, to be a prominent line equal to Hot House, Falcon, and some of the other bigger studios. Weston has proved with his mainstream work that he's capable of doing that. Especially with his past at Falcon, he proved that he could do anything."
