Vegas Club May Face $2 Million Fine

The owners of the Crazy Horse Too strip club may face more than $2 million in fines after its owner pleaded guilty to tax charges recently.

Las Vegas City Attorney Brad Jerbic said he is drafting a formal complaint against the club, seeking fines in excess of $2 million for allegedly violating the terms of its city license, the Las Vegas Sun reported Monday. Such a fine would make it the largest such levy against a business, ranking it well above the $1.1 million paid by Michael Galardi, owner of the Cheetah’s strip club in 2004. Galardi, who was involved in the ongoing Strippergate scandal involving the bribery of Nevada Public officials, pleaded guilty to bribing San Diego officials.

The action against the Crazy Horse Too comes after the club’s owner, Rick Rizzolo pleaded guilty on June 1 to felony tax charges. Under a plea deal, Rizzolo is required to pay nearly $17 million in fines to settle a civil lawsuit and sell the club within a year.

Rizzolo is facing up to 16 months in prison.
