Alt-porn starlet Joanna Angel has just inked a production deal with VCA Pictures, following the success of her latest feature presentation Joanna’s Angels.
The New York-born actress/producer has her own company, Burning Angel, whose projects are distributed by Pulse Distribution, and a few successful VCA releases under her belt.
Brought into feature movie production by director and friend Eon McKai, Angel has helped carve out the alt porn niche.
“In the past year, I feel like I’ve really been making waves in the industry through working with VCA. I look forward to a great future with this company,” Angel said.
“Joanna and VCA Pictures are a perfect fit,” commented VP of sales and marketing Peter Reynolds.
Only a few weeks prior to the VCA deal, Angel’s company Burning Angel Entertainment, the production arm of Burningangel.com, signed an exclusive distribution deal with Pulse Distribution for worldwide DVD. Now, Angel will be represented by both companies, as she has agreed to a feature acting deal with VCA.
The VCA deal calls for Angel to produce and star in five movies exclusively for VCA Pictures and appear in an additional 10 scenes with other directors. The dark-haired starlet will also be heavily promoted through the Hustler Hollywood stores and in the pages of Hustler.
Additionally, Angel will be part of a three-month nationwide radio campaign, highlighted by a promo party at the South by Southwest Music Conference March 17 in Austin, Texas.
Angel will be feature dancing at the New York Hustler club, and in clubs around the country, as she promotes her next VCA Pictures release, Joanna’s Angels 2, which will be in stores April 4.
