VCA contract performer Joanna Angel today told an audience at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Tex. about how to market an online business on the World Wide Web.
Angel, who founded the music and porn Web site www.burningangel.com, said her site is an example of mixing music with porn.
“It was a little intimidating at first, but I think I got my message across,” Angel said.
With more than 100 girls depicted on the site, it also features music and interviews with such bands as Bad Religion, Marilyn Manson, the used and scores of other artists.
“I started my Web site with next to nothing and now I have a site that gets 200,000 hits a month,” she said.
The site includes video and music clips as well as links to her movie collection and other sites.
Besides the convention, Angel is scheduled to host the “Wild Wild SXSW Affair” party at The House, located on 4th and Nueces. The event will give those in attendance a chance to see a trailer of her upcoming movie, Joanna’s Angels 2, featuring Dana Dearmond and Kylee Cross and set for release on April 2.
On Saturday, Angel is scheduled to visit AAA News, 2055 S. Lamar Blvd., in Austin, Tex. from 2 to 5 p.m., where she will sign autographs and DVDs.
