We already knew who: Misty Stone and Dana DeArmond. And we knew what: the annual Urban X Awards. That just left the when and where.
So here it is: On July 13 at the 740 Club in downtown Los Angeles, Stone and DeArmond will host the annual Urban X award ceremony. The event celebrates the best black, Latin, Asian and interracial productions of the past year, with honors given to producers, directors, companies, agents, and performers.
The show is produced by director Giana Taylor, who is already busily preparing for the big night with her staff.
“This year’s show will be amazing. I want everyone of every ethnicity to come out and enjoy the awards and help us celebrate. This is a movement that we all should be a part of,” Taylor said.
The lucky winners will receive award crafted by Scott Slagerman, whose Simply Blown glass dildos and other toys are among the prettiest around. Fans can still help decide the winners now, by casting their votes by going now to Urbanxawards.com.
The 740 Club Downtown is located at 753 Spring St. The show begins at 8 p.m. and will include red carpet arrivals, live entertainment, a VIP pre-party, an after party and the awards ceremony itself. The Urban X Awards are open to the public; tickets are on sale now at Wantickets.com.
