Upstart Adult Auction Site Opens at 4BidN.com

Hot sauce impresario David Landsman is hoping that his marketing savvy will guide him through the rough waters that are the Adult online world, with his newest venture, Adult auction site 4BidN.com.

Although it is yet to start the auctioneering, the site already has 45 users registered and Landsman expects there to be hundreds of users bidding on hundreds of Adult items in the next couple of weeks.

“The reaction has been great, especially from sellers who are fed up with eBay and PayPal, but the book is still out on weather buyers will enjoy this forum,” Landsman told AVNOnline.com. “I believe once we have the right products listed and people see that they can get great deals it will take off quite quickly.”

The site, once it is fully operational, will be run with the payment processor Moneybookers, which allows people to make payments through email.

Although there are several Adult auction sites already on the Web, offering everything from porn DVDs to used panties and porn star memorabilia, Landsman believes he can make his difference through marketing and customer service, much as he did with his hot sauce business.

He started that business by buying a $500 ad in the back of Rolling Stone. A reporter from Philadelphia noticed the ad and turned it into a story. Soon Landsman was taking bulk orders from doctors and lawyers and doing magazine and newspaper interviews left and right.

“I want to give buyers and sellers a safe place to trade and a more intimate environment, offering them unmatched customer service and other small touches to make them choose us,” Landsman said. “Right now I’m searching out the best products in the world, other Adult auction sites are selling used socks and getting bids and you know, more power to them. I hope to have a bit more sophisticated group of buyers and sellers and offer unique products – that’s my advantage.”

Initially, Landsman is offering a $25 listing credit for new sellers. Those listing 50 products at once will get a $50 credit.
